Name is a human-made unique identifier for an individual or entity, converting abstract identity into spoken or written label through social consensus.
A name requires language to operate now — it is a linguistic construct. Remove language and a name cannot exist. The dependency is present-tense and constitutive, not merely historical.
A toponym is a specific kind of name — specifically, a name that designates a place. 'X is a specific kind of Y' is always INSTANCE_OF per Law 9.
